The Polynesian Islands Crypto Summit 2 (PICS 2) will be held in May 2026 in Tahiti.
To make your visit easier, here is all the useful information on flights, access to the event site and on-site transport solutions.
How to get to Tahiti?
By plane : Faa'a International Airport (PPT) serves Tahiti from France (via Paris and Los Angeles), New Caledonia, Australia, New Zealand and several Pacific islands.
Formalities French travelers do not require a visa. For foreign visitors, check the requirements with the French consulate.
Major Airlines : Air Tahiti Nui, Air France, French Bee, Aircalin.
💡 Trick : book your tickets early, the high tourist season starts in May.
Getting around on site
PICS 2 Special Shuttles : a shuttle service will connect the airport, downtown Papeete and the event venue (more information in the program).
Taxis & VTC : available at the airport and in the city, fixed rates for certain destinations.
Public transport : limited but economical bus network, practical for short distances.
Car rental : recommended for exploring Tahiti beyond the summit.
Practical information
Weather report : In May, the climate is warm and pleasant (25–30°C). Bring light clothing and sunscreen.
Cash : the Pacific franc (XPF), indexed to the euro (1 € ≈ 119.33 XPF).
Internet & telephony : local SIM cards available (Vini, Vodafone).
Accessibility : site adapted for people with reduced mobility, accessible shuttles.
